about

Leftfield electronic producer and visual artist - Asta Hiroki returns with the sleek new jazz-tinged single titled 'Hiding Place'. His last single - 'Channels / Vulnerable' was a runaway success, despite it just being his second official release - the tracks were placed on over 10 official Spotify editorial playlists including the coveted ‘Fresh Finds’ playlist, achieving over 600k streams in the process. He’s also won heavyweight fans including Tom Ravenscroft and Huey Morgan at BBC 6Music, and a host of international radio support from the likes of KCRW, KEXP, Radio Nova, and Couleur 3.

And this time around he teams up with the talented London-based electronica vocalist– Lylli, to create another downtempo masterpiece. Weaving gorgeous late-night jazz harmonies over a sparse arrangement, his blend of ambient electronica combined with the delicate and nuanced vocals and lyrics from Lylli make for a truly beautiful listen.

In additional to the original there’s a fine selection of remixes on the release coming courtesy of fellow producers - Tristan de Liège and Moth Equals.
British producer - Moth Equals has released four albums to date, building up a loyal fan-base and winning support across the BBC from 6Music, BBC Introducing, and BBC Asian Network in the process. Specialising in brooding IDM and trip hop, his rework conjures up a dark and tense mood whilst still remaining melodic and engaging. A must-hear for fans of Portishead and the Bristol sound.
Tristan de Liège contributes an introspective dub mix in the vein of Tycho, heavily chopping the vocals and surrounding them with dreamy synth textures over a dance influenced beat. The LA resident is a hugely prolific electronic artist with projects released on Emancipator’s Loci Records imprint, as well as Future Archive (run by Little People / Arms and Sleepers).

As a final bonus the original instrumental is included for the times when you just want to let the music speak for itself.
